Summons to answer

Upon the acceptance of the plaint, the court shall issue summons to answer to be served on the defendant together with a copy of the plaint, and, under the civil procedure, the plaintiff has to make a request to the competent officer for the service of such summons within seven days from the date of filing. By failing to do so, the plaintiff shall be deemed to have abandoned the plaint which would entitle the court to issue an order directing a case to be struck out of the case-list.
